Big Joke on Zanjeer

With Ram Charan's Zanjeer turned out to be a damp squib at the Box Office, a spate of jokes are circulating in social media over the film. And the one that is raising many eyeballs is joke on a renowned Bollywood critic.

Though most of the reviews lashed out at the film and even Zero ratings (by Rajeev Masand), Subhash K Jha's take on Zanjeer is exceptional and outstanding. Why? Subhash has given four stars for the film and said "Let's not get carried away. Every time a remake comes along, we get gooey-eyed and nostalgic about the original. The Zanjeer remake gets it right. Dead right."

That's not all. Subhash went on to heap praise on Prakash Raj, Mahie Gill, Sanjay Dutt, director Apoorva Lakhia and who not? He said "Throughout the film, we sense the director's immense affection for the original Zanjeer, a reverence that never clouds his judgement. This is one remake that stands tall and lithe. It is manned by a manful supply of action and yet manages to keep the machismo understated. Breakneck-paced, adrenaline-pumping, pulse-pounding -- Lakhia's deconstructed version of the Prakash Mehra film is a full-on pacy paisa-vasool entertainer with brio and balls."

Even a common movie buff who has watched the film has been laughing uncontrollably over this review. One opines that Subhash has tried his best to drum-beat to Ram Charan Teja, who happens to be the son of Union Tourism Minister Chiranjeevi. No doubt, the review raised many eye-balls with jaw-dropping review of Subhash. And here's a sneak peek of cartoon by Satish Acharya.
